Wow, delicious! Instead of chips, we serve crispy Waldröstis on a crunchy salad. Or potato wedges with dip.
Our menu is full of valuable vitamins that taste really delicious. Sometimes sizzling, sometimes refined and garnished – all fresh and without additives. There’s just one question left: should we sit inside or outside on the panoramic terrace?
A tour of the Waldwelt makes you hungry. The combination of exercise in the fresh air, the climb up the treetop path and the exciting discovery tours through the forest are to blame. Afterwards, everyone needs: hearty Allgäu hospitality!
Family restaurant & store
With children, things sometimes have to happen quickly. That’s why we offer self-service. The whole family can see how big the portions are and what’s on the plate. Is it raining? No problem: we have 100 seats in the restaurant. You can also sit outside under the parasols or under the roof. On a clear day, the panoramic terrace (300 seats) is the best place to be.
Hier gibt’s jeden Tag verschiedene Rösti-Varianten, Waldwiesen-Salate, Waldbällchen-Teller und Burger (auch vegetarisch) – alles knackig frisch. Naschkatze? Wir haben da was für dich: Unsere hausgemachte Eiswipfeltorte oder unsere Waldwelt-Eisburger (ab Mai 2025) nach einem strengen Geheimrezept. Zu kalt für Eis? Es gibt auch Torten und Kuchen. Dazu einen Saft oder ein Schorle, Wasser, Tee, Kaffee. Erwachsene dürfen bei uns auch Bier oder Wein trinken.
About the ambience: cozy. The friendly wooden furniture and loving decoration create a rustic, rustic atmosphere (but still bright) that perfectly matches Waldwelt. In the family restaurant, our Skywalk store stocks an exquisite selection of souvenirs and gifts. Really nice wooden toys and products from the region. When selecting our store range, we always pay attention to high-quality, predominantly sustainably produced items. For yourself or as a souvenir.
What’s up?
When the Skywalk Allgäu became Waldwelt Allgäu, there was a completely new food concept. The forest is now the theme in the restaurant! The new menu focuses on regional dishes without additives. French fries? There really aren’t any more. Instead, there’s venison curry sausage with sea buckthorn curry sauce and wild garlic potato wedges. Or a forest power rösti with wild mushroom salad, watercress, wild herbs and sprouts.
Does it taste good?
The changeover was a bold step. Our guests are delighted. Many come especially because there is “something different” here. We are looking forward to your feedback. Write to us! Or simply tell our open-minded kitchen team.

Pleasure events for groups
Whether company outing or club group, school class or tour group – the Waldwelt Skywalk Allgäu is the ideal excursion destination for companies and clubs. Guests usually spend several enjoyable hours on our premises. After a visit to our treetop walk, an extensive exploration of our accompanying attractions or individual team events, everyone has one thing in common: a big appetite! After all, exercise in the fresh air is known to stimulate the appetite.
We have the right selection of enjoyment events for exactly this case at Waldwelt Allgäu. As a group, you can choose from a wide range of packages. These range from a morning pint to an aperitif reception on our panorama stage to a delicious barbecue buffet on the covered terrace in the evening. On request, group events are of course also possible outside our opening hours. We are also the ideal location for Christmas parties or end-of-year celebrations in winter.
